Halloween Week!

 Hi everyone!

The next week we are going to deal with the Halloween festivity: stories, crafts, videos, songs and funny activities are coming! Last Wednesday, during the Arts lesson, we decorated the hall for Halloween. We used a book called "Scary night" that tells a Halloween story through short poems. Now, the story is told along the hall thanks to the pictures that we made using... Chalks!!! It was very funny! Here you have some pictures of our art works, however, a video will be hang on facebook in the following days for you to enjoy all of them.

La próxima semana vamos a hablar sobre la festividad de Halloween; tendremos cuentos, manualidades, vídeos, canciones y actividades muy divertidas. El miércoles pasado, durante la sesión de Arts, decoramos el pasillo para Halloween. Utilizamos un libro titulado "Scary night" que cuenta una historia de Halloween mediante poemas cortos. Ahora la historia está narrada a lo largo del pasillo gracias a los dibujos que hicimos utilizando... ¡Tizas! ¡Fue muy divertido! Aquí tenéis algunas fotos de nuestras obras de arte, no obstante, se colgará un vídeo en facebook en los próximos días para que podáis disfrutarlas todas.

Unit-1 Test

I hope you have rested during these days. 

We are ready to show how much we have learnt along unit-1, and so we are going to carry out a test next week. 3ºA will take it on Friday and 3ºB on Wednesday. Ya estamos listos para mostrar cuánto hemos aprendido durante la unidad-1, y por ello vamos a realizar un control la próxima semana. 3ºA lo tendrá el viernes y 3ºB el miércoles. My Schoolbag!

 Hi everyone! 

This week we have learnt when to use "there is" and when to use "there are". In addition, we have keept on working with the vocabulary about class material and the story Pete the Cat, Rocking in my school shoes. To finish the week, we have created a schoolbag! First, we have selected five objects that we have in our school bags, coloured them, and cut them out.

After that, we have pasted the objects in the inside of our schoolbags and we have written a sentence indicating the amount of objects that we have, using the learnt structures (There is or there are).

Finally, we have decorated the outside part of our schoolbags and pasted it on our notebooks. Do you want to see the results?

* Remember that next week, you will all have one art lesson on friday (no material is needed).

Esta semana hemos aprendido cuándo usar "there is" y cuándo "there are". Además, hemos seguido trabajando con el vocabulario sobre material escolar y con la historia Pete the Cat, Rocking in my school shoes. Para terminar la semana, ¡hemos creado una mochila! Primero, hemos seleccionado cinco objetos que teníamos en nuestra mochila, los hemos pintado y los hemos recortado.

Después, hemos pegado los objetos en la parte interior de nuestras mochilas y hemos escrito frases sobre cada uno de ellos, indicando la cantidad que teníamos en la mochila utilizando las estructuras aprendidas (there is y there are).

Finalmente, hemos decorado la parte exterior de nuestras mochilas y la hemos pegado en nuestros cuadernos. ¿Queréis ver los resultados?

* Recordad que el próximo viernes las dos clases tendremos una sesión de art (no hace falta traer ningún material extra).

We are woriking on the book "Pete the Cat: Rocking in my School Shoes" and we are going to learn a lot of  vocabulary about school and class material. Hemos coloreado, hemos jugado, hemos escrito y hemos leído. ¡Sois unos fantásticos trabajadores! Sólo os voy a pedir que termiéis una cosa durante el fin de semana: tenéis que terminar las portadas de vuestros cuadernos de Literacy (facilísimo).
